LodgeHunt helps travelers make accommodation and trip-planning decisions. We do not treat a long hotel list, a high adjective count, or an affiliate link as evidence that a recommendation is useful.
Our decision-first method
We begin with the decision a traveler is trying to make: which area fits the itinerary, which property matches a stated need, or which transport option reduces avoidable friction. A guide should provide a quick answer, the intended traveler fit, location context, and meaningful trade-offs.
Evidence and sources
- Property identity, operating status, address, facilities, and transport claims are checked against official or first-party sources where available.
- Checked facts and editorial interpretation are kept distinct.
- Live rates, availability, room conditions, journey times, and policies are not asserted when they were not reproducibly verified.
- Evidence-led guides show source or checked-date markers near the relevant material.
Shortlists, not forced Top 10s
We do not keep an arbitrary hotel count when fewer properties can be supported. A shorter verified shortlist is preferable to padding a guide with uncertain identities, generic descriptions, or unsupported rankings.
Trade-offs and uncertainty
Every useful recommendation has limits. We aim to identify who a choice fits, who may regret it, and what must still be checked for the traveler’s dates. Unknown information is labeled as unknown rather than filled with an assumption.
Updates and corrections
A page update date is not automatically a fact-verification date. Where a source was checked, the guide identifies that evidence separately. Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page.
Commercial independence
